A|X Armani Exchange products are available exclusively in 270 stores in 31 countries and on the brand's website. The line was a pioneer in online communication and retail, launching its armaniexchange.com website in 1995 and adding online sales in 1997.

To accelerate the development of the nascent line, Giorgio Armani co-founded the joint venture company Presidio Holdings Ltd in 2005 together with Como Holdings, the company owned by Singaporean tycoon Ong Beng Seng that, since 1994, has held the license of manufacturing and distribution for A/X Armani Exchange in the United States, Canada, Central and South America and Asia-Pacific. By 2006, A|X Armani Exchange launched a line of sunglasses under license with Safilo
